IMATS & ABBW descend on Darling Harbour

IMATS, (more commonly known as The Greatest Make-Up Show On Earth), or if you’re a stickler, International Make-Up Artist Trade Show will be held in Sydney this weekend, and like Big Kev, I’m excited!

If you’re a beauty aficionado and you know your serums from your shellacs, or if you’re keen on getting a leg up into the make-up artistry industry, then IMATS is the oyster to your world.

With brands like M.A.C, Illamasqua Australia, Napoleon Perdis, Make Up For Ever, Inglot, Gorgeous Cosmetics, Royal & Langnickel Brush Mfg. and many more showcasing their wares, there is something for everyone.

Keynote speakers and presenters include Napoleon Perdis, Rae Morris, who will be launching her new brush range, M.A.C Senior Artist Nicole Thompson, Oscar Winner for Achievement in Makeup, Tami Lane whose previous work includes The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Elessa Jade, from website pursebuzz.com, to name but a few.

To coincide with this momentous occasion will be an event never before seen this side of the Pacific. The Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend (ABBW) will also be held this weekend, coordinated by Jacie of You’ve Got Nail and Kimmi of The Plastic Diaries.

These two all powerful women have orchestrated an event on the grandest of scales, arranging for 85 beauty bloggers from across Australia to converge on Darling Harbour and not only grace Sydney with their presence, but also attend IMATS en masse, participate in beauty and media events, and pretty much bear witness to The Greatest Make-Up Show on Earth.

But aside from all that, what excites this little bloggers heart most is that ABBW gives beauty bloggers, who before now may have only communicated (and formed friendships) over social media, through comments on blogs, Twitter, Facebook and the like, the opportunity to meet face to face, talk shop and indulge in all things beauty!

85 like-minded individuals, dressed to the nines and immaculately presented surrounded by the things they love most. Magic!

I am so happy to hear that you are excited for this weekend. It is comments like yours that remind me why Jacie and I are doing this and puts the stress in perspective. I can’t wait to meet you and share a joyous weekend.

Thanks Kimmi! In all honesty though, there are not enough ways to thank both you and Jacie for all your efforts in putting this together. I look forward to finally meeting you as well this weekend. Xx
